Mistertemp, established in 2009, has 300 employees across 200 agencies in France and 10 in Italy and generated €420m turnover in 2023.

Clipperton acted as sole financial advisor to Welcome to the Jungle, France’s major SaaS player in the employer branding and recruitment space, on a €50m fundraising with Blisce, Cipio Partners, Groupe ADP, Kostogri and RAISE Sherpas, backed by historical investors Revaia, XAnge and Bpifrance (via its Digital Ventures fund).

This new funding will enable Welcome to the Jungle to ramp up its employer branding solutions in France and expand globally, with a specific focus on the USA.

This deal is testament to Clipperton’s ability to build long-term relationships with its clients – having advised Welcome to the Jungle in 2019 on its €20m financing round led by Gaia Capital Partners and in 2017 on its series A financing round led by XAnge.

Foederis Group gets acquired by Septeo

Foederis offers a best-of-breed SaaS Talent Management solution to more 400 SMB and Enterprise customers using the platform to manage over 1 million employees.

Septeo is a French-based group and a major provider of software solutions for the legal and real-estate industries. Backed by HG Capital since 2020, Septeo has been executing several build-up acquisitions over the last 2 years.

This transaction marks the second deal of Clipperton in the HR segment over the last 12 months, after AssessFirst’s growth investment of CAPZA Growth Tech. It also makes reference to Clipperton’s role as a long-term advisor to Welcome to the Jungle, with the €20m fundraising led by Revaia. Clipperton has been a long-standing advisor to Foederis, having notably managed the investment of Isatis Capital in 2017.

AssessFirst receives an investment from CAPZA Growth Tech

Clipperton acted as sole financial advisor to AssessFirst, an HR Tech company, on the recent growth investment of CAPZA Growth Tech. AssessFirst has developed a predictive recruitment SaaS solution that allows companies to predict how well candidates and employees will succeed and thrive in their jobs on the basis of their abilities, their motivations, and their personalities.

This transaction underlines Clipperton’s extensive expertise in the SaaS sector with as many as 17 deals for SaaS businesses since 2020, advising category leaders such as Inova ($70m investment from Carlyle Group [NASDAQ: CG]), Sendinblue ($160m round with Bridgepoint, BlackRock and Bpifrance) and Lengow (majority-control growth investment from Marlin Equity Partners).

It further is a testament to Clipperton’s ability to Clipperton’s ability to advise deals in the HR Tech sector, such as the €20m Series B round of Welcome to the Jungle, Foederis (SaaS HR system for Talent Management), and the sale of Vodeclic to Skillsoft [NYSE: SKIL].
