- Clipperton acted as exclusive financial advisor to Implicity, a global leader in AI-driven cardiac remote monitoring, on its €35 million growth equity funding led by European growth fund IRIS alongside Five Arrows Sustainable Investments (FASI), the impact fund from Five Arrows.
- The funding will support the company’s ramp-up of its US commercial operations, consolidate the platform’s position in Europe, and invest further in R&D to accelerate the capabilities of its predictive and diagnostic AI algorithms.
- This transaction adds to Clipperton’s track record advising high-growth healthtech businesses, following deals such as Hublo’s capital opening to Five Arrows, Thoma Bravo’s investment in Padoa, Kinvent’s Series B round with Eurazeo, and DentalMonitoring’s $150m growth round with Merieux Equity Partners.
Our Client
- Implicity is a leading digital MedTech platform for remote monitoring of patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices, supporting cardiologists and hospitals with continuous, secure data monitoring. It was co-founded by Dr. Arnaud Rosier, a cardiac electrophysiologist, alongside David Perlmutter.
- Its universal, device-agnostic platform aggregates, normalizes, and analyzes remote monitoring data across every major cardiac device manufacturer – spanning the full continuum of care, from cardiac rhythm management to heart failure and beyond – helping clinicians detect events earlier and manage follow-up more efficiently.
- The platform is regulatory-grade (CE-marked with three FDA clearances) and backed by clinical evidence showing a 26% reduction in mortality among monitored patients versus conventional systems.
- Adoption spans both sides of the Atlantic, with 250+ medical centers monitoring 120,000+ patients daily across the US, France, and Germany. In France, it runs across major public hospital networks (AP-HP, CHU Tours, CHU Grenoble); at Institut Mutualiste Montsouris, it supported a move from 250 to 5,000 patients monitored – a twentyfold productivity gain for the monitoring team.
Deal Rationale
- This investment will accelerate Implicity’s international expansion, with a primary focus on scaling its commercial footprint and operations in the United States, where the company has been operating from Cambridge (MA) since 2022. It will also fund the continued development of its artificial intelligence capabilities by working on the next generation of Heart Failure prediction algorithms to better serve medical teams and optimize care for remotely monitored cardiac patients.
- “This funding lets us care for patients at scale, catching the information through the noise to provide the best possible care – and that’s the future of cardiology I’ve been chasing since my first year as an electrophysiologist.”, stated Dr. Arnaud Rosier, CEO and Co-Founder of Implicity.
